Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a Democratic and Rep. John Dingell, chairperson of the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee, have put forward a bill in both chambers of Congress.
The proposal intends to guarantee insurance to 9 million children across the US who does not come under the preview of any such health scheme.
The bill would furnish 50 U.S. states incentives to expand their existing programs for children’s health insurance and would help states identify the approximate 6 million children eligible for public programs but are not registered presently.
Clinton said, taking care of our children first is not only the right thing and the smart thing to do, but is really a moral obligation for all of us. However, her husband failed to provide such kind of heath coverage in the first term of his presidency.
