According to a recent research, effects of watching excessive TV are far beyond just poor eyesight. They can be as serious as pre-mature puberty, obesity leading to diabetes and many other cardio-disorders together with triggering of autism.
Not just this, but the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease increases with each extra daily hour of television viewing among people aged 20 to 60, wile irregular sleeping patterns can be another disturbing pattern among babies.

As per the study conducted by Psychologist Dr Aric Sigman an average six year old Brit-kid has already spent one full year watching television, which in itself is an alarm for parents who allow them to do that.
The author says that there must exist a complete ban on watching TV for the youngest babies and the introduction when he grows up should be pretty ‘judicious’.
