The toy fair turned out to be a colorful affair, with a wide variety of playthings revealed for not only the kids, but even the elders to have a glimpse of. But what came as a bit of a surprise was that most of the manufacturers ignored the green-themed products. Very few green toys were sighted and this seemed sad especially when every one else around is harping about environmental issues. One company that stood out in this respect was a Southern Californian tech-toy company OWI , which showed off some pleasant solar-powered robot kits, targeted at kids from the age of 8 onwards.

With the help of these easy to assemble kits, the kids can be taught about the existing alternative energy sources. The kits come in various forms, as Peppy Orangutan, Aerial Cable Car, Sonic F1, Flapping Sea Gull, Valiant Viking Ship, and several others. I am totally for the idea of teaching the kids the benefits of environmental friendly products while at a tender age, as they enjoy their play too!
