1. Sick babies have less of appetite, and do not intend to suck, while a colicky baby will still have a strong need to suck and shows clear signs of hunger and eats normally.

3. A baby vomits excessively only when he is actually sick, vomiting is not connected to colic in any ways, though little amount of spitting up is normal.



4. Diarrhea and bloody stools are typical of a sick baby for a colicky baby passes normal stool.
