As kids are getting more and more net savvy, I guess parents are required to get more kids savvy, I mean they have to know about their kids’ online activity. In spite being incredibly helpful for kids Internet can be potentially dangerous as well.



So the first thing what you can do to keep a tab on your kid is installing the computer at a public area in the house instead of his bedroom.

Guide him about the Internet rule that he should never provide any personal information to strangers in cyber space.



Make it a point your kid does not get addicted to instant messaging especially if he/she is a teenager.

America Online, allow parental control features to help you to block instant messaging.



You can also go in for filtering soft wares that will stop the access to certain websites or emails, set up passwords, and prohibit your child from searching certain keywords.

Educate your child and encourage him to use the net in a way that helps him rather than harming him.
