It comes as a problem to a breast feeding mother to know how much milk is enough for the baby, for she cannot measure the amount of milk. In such a case the mothers need to go by some other ways that include the following:
1. Pediatrics suggests that a 3-4 days old healthy baby should pass urine six times in a day.
2. The color of the urine should be pale yellow and two bowel movements per day until 1 week old, and five per day from ages 1 to 4 weeks is normal.
3. He should start gaining weight regularly after the first week after birth.
4. Last but not the least feeding schedules also give a view of baby’s hunger. Make sure you give your baby something to eat after every 90 minutes.
If all the above mentioned points are falling in place for your baby, then you don’t have to worry for his eating patterns and know that your baby is perfectly fit and fine.
