Children suffering from asthma could overcome their problem by inhaling corticosteroids since it has been diagnosed as the most effective therapy for kids.
Although several medications are available to help children maintain asthma control, clinical trials directly comparing them had not been conducted.
The research is based on a study of 285 children aged between 6 to 14 years. It concluded that after 48 weeks, inhaled corticosteroids are the most effective initial daily therapy for children with mild to moderate persistent asthma.
They also found no significant side affects of the medication.
