It has been postulated that it takes round about a month before a baby actually eat more than a few teaspoons a day. Here are some tips, which might prove helpful in increasing his appetite for solid food:

1. Do not expect your baby to eat fast or to clean his plate. Prefer giving him food after some milk. If he’s starving, he’ll be irritated to try something new.

2. Traditionally, cereals are offered to the babies as their first food but at times, infants dislike the taste of it so after consulting your doctor, you may switch on to sweet potatoes.

3. Make your baby eat with rest of the family members at the dinner table. Most of the times kids copy actions and so will end up in gobbling solid stuff.
