As the chill is on...it’s a big time problem to bring those kiddos out for some physical exercise. It’s a real tough job to keep kids active when there is ice all over, for you can neither take them out for some work out and when at home they do not find a better haunt than those play stations, TV or computers.

Researchers have found that winters can be called the weight adding season as the kids burn about half as many calories in the winter as they do in the summer while end up eating more.

So if you are also facing this kind of a problem then get smart and try out something out of these:

1.Make it a point to pull them out of the home. If the scene outdoor is not perfect for snowshoeing and skiing, then go in for hiking. Basic motive is to indulge them is some kind of physical activity.

2.Take time out and indulge yourself with kids. Merely pushing them out will serve no purpose. Go for simple out door games like snowball fighting. This will make kids happy as they are with you and running and fighting will end up in burning some calories as well.

3.How about swimming...? Of course not outside but in an indoor pool. I think this can be a cool option. You can also plan out for other indoor sports like volley ball or even karate.

4.Be a smart parent...if you are living in a multi-storied apartment, then ban those lifts and escalator. Make sure they take stairs every time they move up or down.

5.Last but not least, limit their TV watching hours...any how. Make sure they spend least time before TV.

Do this and I’m sure you’ll definitely have healthy kids post winters.
