If you were a new parent, you would definitely consider crawling as a major landmark in your baby’s life. And most of you would find it inappropriate when your kido won’t start with the crawling business. But you know what, experts are of the view that it’s not really a milestone as far as development is concerned.
Here’s why your baby could be a creepy crawler or may not even crawl at all:
1. If the baby is in the habit of sleeping on his back then it would not crawl. But remember your baby does not have to crawl in order to learn to walk.
2. Since your baby’s spending so much time on his back, try to give him some incentive to crawl. Spread some of its toys all around so that the baby may wiggle on his tummy is one step closer to crawling.
3. If your kido is scooting along on his bottom, rolling across the floor or cruising while holding onto the furniture, then he’s moving in the right direction. But if he hasn’t found any way of getting around by his first birthday, talk to your pediatrician.
