Finally a study published in the latest issue of the journal Human Genetics has finally proved that the arrangement of a mother’s genes has an effect on the sexual orientation of the son and so-called “gay genes” do exist, there is no single gene that makes a person gay. Rather a number of genes together with environmental influences ultimately make a person homosexual or gay.



But Religious leaders have a different opinion for this study. They believe that such research is in a way an effort to legitimize homosexuality and a detailed knowledge on the matter will lead to attempts of genetic engineering that prevents it.
