Cingulars Wirelss stores are beginning to sell small, brightly colored cell phone called the Firefly, a mobile phone tailor-made for children 12 years old and younger.

As kids are getting techno-savvy, cell phones is a must have for them. A 10-year old wants his cell to be packed with everything that’s latest and his parents are worried about all that he can do with his cell.

So Firefly cell-phone is a product that is a combo of both these concerns. It is designed with a simple keypad and phone list that restricts who the child can call. Other than this the bright colors and the light makes it a hit among kids.

The cell phone is available for $99.99, but at Cingular it can be yours for just $.49.99. Firefly is available in sparkling four colors.

I guess the company needs to keep it’s fingers crossed for the kids today are a bit too much into technology...so they might not find this ‘5-keyed cell’ just a toy among the latest cell phones that come loaded with technology.
