On second of this month, a woman in China gave birth to an extraordinary baby. It is thought to be the third heaviest baby across the globe.
The weight of the unnamed infant is 6.24kgs while a normal baby’s weight is not beyond 4kgs.
In fact, the newborn’s mother herself is suffering from obesity, weighing 120kgs. Luckily she, in good health after giving birth to such a large baby.
The baby too is in good condition and this is a matter of elation plus surprise to both parents and hospital staff.
The infant’s father, Wang Yi said,
The ultrasound test said the baby would be very big. Back then, I thought the ultrasound machine must have made a mistake. I didn’t expect my baby to be so big’. Regarding his wife’s diet in pregnancy, he explained she ‘only took in common nutrients during her pregnancy, nothing special. I didn’t buy her special nutrients.
Doctor who assisted the operation interpreted that the size of the baby is the result of family genes or might be it’s because of family history of diabetes, a probable reason which some doctors asserted two years before in Brazil. However, the parents have confirmed that they have no history of diabetes.
