I think this product is fantastic! I believe this product will save many lives as we hear of deaths related to children left in cars. The public needs to be aware of the safety concern for children and how fast the temperature can rise while in a hot car. Let’s help spread the word about Child ’Minder!

My family was almost affected by this horrific tragedy. This is an outstanding idea !! Unfortunately, many people believe that it will never happen to them but then it is too late. This new device will produce a dual purpose... peace of mind and to prevent a horrific tragedy of losing ones child. Usually, one parent brings the child to the cargiver. It may be that one unusual time that particular parent is unable to perform this task and has the alternate parent take his place. This is where the alternate parent is rushing to his work to meet his schedule and inadvertently forgets about his child in the backseat since he is not accustom to this daily task. This will save many lives and I cannot wait for this to be on the market in the spring.
Last year my neighbor put her 10 months old boy in the car set and put him in the SUV close the door went back into the house to get something the phone ring she answered it and forgot the baby. WOW! This sounds like the answer to a parents prayers. When I was with children ( over 18 years ago) I always had a quite fear of leaving my children behind. Parents and/or caregivers may not realize the sudden increase of temperature in the vehicle when a child is easily forgotten due to our expected demands in our everyday lifestyle. Great idea, but the problem I see is the price. Not all parents can afford the $60 price tag, heck some can’t even afford the carseat.

Capt Truth, do you know that there have been 171 reported fatalities from heat related deaths of young children in parked cars and of those 171 heat related deaths 39% of the deaths were from a forgetful caregiver? Statistic Information: From 1998-2005, after airbags became popular, there have been 330 reported hyperthermia deaths from children left in cars by their caregivers. In 1990-1992 before airbags were popular there were only 11 reported hyperthermia deaths from children left in cars by their caregivers. Keep in mind, these are REPORTED deaths!

I have to say they do deny people. I have been denyed for a child seat when I could not afford one. I was primary care giver for a relitive’s children. Well when the youngest graduated into a toddler seat while the middle was still in a toddler, they denyed me because ”you obvously were able afford the first toddler seat.” I ended up on Ebay and had to get a used toddler seat, which I really didn’t want to do but it’s all I could afford. I’m a newly married collage student working part time... it’s not that I had all this money sitting around. Plus I really doubt they will be giving these items with the seats.
As I said I don’t doubt the idea, I just see this price tag as a high one.

Some may believe that this new device is priced unreasonably beyond affordability but the key is.....Is your child worth it? The public must take into consideration the quality and the dual function of this outstanding device. I would rather pay the price knowing that the features on this outrageous invention has PREVENTED my child from being added to the statistics of death of children from hyperthermia. This is a wonderful device, and I support it 100%. I just wish that a device like this had been available before we lost our beautiful daughter, Mackenzee, when my husband forgot her in the car. The increase number of missing children seem to go unsolved each year. CHILDMINDER can prevent this horrific tragedy....not knowing the whereabouts of your child. It is known that once a child is missing they are murdered within hours. A wonderful invention for shopping moms! You’re in the clearance area and you spot a rack you haven’t checked out; the baby is in eye sight until you turn your back for just a second. You’re not even 20 ft away! All of a sudden the alarm sounds. Someone attempted to steal your baby but didn’t get to because of all your screaming when Child Minder alerted you! It is money well spent and a reasonable price for an alarm system, thank you!

Guess what?........Drifting down the aisles you are now several feet away from your child....easy for anyone to walk away with your child who is in the infant seat.
