Kids easily get into a habit of wandering off. Then there are worries and tensions for the parents. Smart Target has developed a proximity alarm that provides a solution out of this predicament. The Kiddo Kidkeeper system is a combination of a transmitter and a receiver. The former, of course is attached to the young child and then the receiver tracks his movements within a specified distance. With the maximum limit pre-set, as soon as a child wanders beyond this, the receiver immediately sounds an alarm as well shows a visual signal as to where the child may actually be located.

The working is quite simple. Just set the distance by walking on the periphery along with the child and then attach the transmitter securely to the child’s clothing. Then the receiver readily monitors the signals from the transmitter. This system comes in two monitoring distances to choose from. One has a radius of 4 meters and the other lets the kid have fun in a within 8 meters. The first one is suited for crowded areas like malls etc while the latter would do well for a park where the young one is allowed to have some fun and exploration on his own. Also for parents with more than one kid, the Kiddo Kidkeeper tracks up to four children at once – each child being represented by different beeps.
