That anti-depression pill that you are about to popup, might relieve you of the tension, but it might not be good for your baby. If you are pregnant and you are taking those new anti-depressants called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or SSRIs , then it is suggested that you must stop them, as these anti-depressants can have an adverse effects on the health of your unborn baby.
Research show that babies born to mothers who were taking SSRIs were reportedly of low birth weight and had greater chances of developing mental illness in comparison to the mothers who did not take any medicine.
The study also said hat the effects of SSRIs might not be the same for all the patients, so pregnant women are expected to consult their doctors before taking any steps in this direction.
