Comes summer and BBC is all set to present the young kids with an all new virtual world. Here they can do all the fn stuff right from making avatars to sharing content.
One thing that CBBC, the children’s programming arm of BBC has specially taken care of is the fact that the new chat room will not have features like chat rooms and building tools to expand the room. This way kids will definitely be safe from any kids of intruders or the money making minds.
Kids will be able to interact freely in a safe periphery comprising only of know characters.
This new virtual world is targeted at 7- to 12-year-olds, where they will have an access to characters that they are familiar from programming.
The world will be live in summer will a full launch in the autumn. We hope it doesn’t turn out another Second Life or for that matter some other virtual world where adults have been showing their evil presence now and then, making the place unsafe for the kids.
