
Scientists at MIT are on the way to materialize a really ambitious dream. They are crafting a tough, kid-friendly laptop especially for poor countries costing a just $100.
I guess this laptop will bring the children at a platform similar to that of children around the world.
The leaders of the “$100 Laptop Initiative” have devised this laptop with a view to substitute the computers, textbooks, libraries, maps and movies that didn’t had any place in the lives of these poor kids.
The product of all this will be made public at the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society, after Secretary General Kofi Annan and MIT Media Lab Chairman Nicholas Negroponte unveil a green-and-yellow computer.
